AOP Emerging Talent Awards 2024: Gold Winner

It was hugely exciting to attend the 39th AOP Awards Showcase at the end of September. I had the pleasure of meeting some my fantastic fellow finalists in the Emerging Talent category (really glad to have grabbed a photo with Lauren Gilholm!), got to know some other brilliant photographers and industry folk, and see some phenomenal work. These things alone would have made it a great night, but being announced as the Gold winner for the Emerging Talent Award made it one I will never forget! I’m so grateful to the AOP, judges Katy Niker, Jason Baron and Kate Congreve, for this incredible honour.

It was so lovely to receive the award from Nuala Henry, from category sponsor Hahnemüehle, and to also receive some of their Fine Art sugar cane paper. It’s so nice to have an opportunity to print on paper that nods to my Caribbean heritage!
